How to play

  1. An 8×8 grid with 10 minesEveryone sees the same board on their own phone.
  2. Reveal squares on your turnEach safe square adds to your running total for this turn. Empty areas open up all at once, exactly like the original.
  3. Bank or push onPass to convert this turn's squares into points. Keep going and you risk all of them.
  4. Hit a mine and it is overYou drink, your unbanked points vanish, and the turn passes.

Who drinks, and how much

  • Hitting a mine: 1 drink, and every point from that turn is lost.

Variants and house rules

Points are only real once banked

The tension is entirely in when to stop. Ten squares revealed and not banked are worth exactly nothing when you find a mine.

Bigger boards

The board can be set to 10×10 with 15 mines or 12×12 with 25 for a longer game.

Good to know

  • Flags work as they do in the original and are shared with the whole table.
