Higher or Lower
Call whether the next card is higher or lower than the one showing. Build a streak, bank it, or lose it all on one bad call.

- One phone each
- About 10 minutes
How to play
- A card is dealt face upEveryone sees the same starting card.
- The player whose turn it is calls itHigher or lower than the card showing. There is no skipping — you call or you time out.
- The next card is revealedRight, and your streak goes up by one and you keep going. Wrong, and you drink and the turn passes.
- Bank whenever you likePassing converts your current streak into points and hands the turn on. A streak you never bank is worth nothing.
Who drinks, and how much
- One drink for a wrong call.
- A tie counts as correct — if the new card matches the old one, you are safe either way.
Variants and house rules
Ties count as correct here
Many house versions make a tie a drink, or a double drink. This version treats an equal card as a correct call, which makes long streaks meaningfully more achievable.
Push your luck
Agree that nobody may bank below a streak of three. Turns get shorter and much louder.
Good to know
- Timing out banks your streak and passes the turn, so going quiet is not a way to avoid drinking.
- The game ends when the deck runs out, so a table of ten gets through it quickly.
